Emma & Joseph | A Blue & White Morning Wedding at Samuel Cedars

Emma & Joseph's May wedding was a little different from what we typically see at Samuel Cedars, and we honestly wish we saw more of them!

The two were married on May 17, 2026, with a beautiful morning ceremony at our outdoor chapel. They chose a classic blue and white color palette, and Missouri gave them one of those absolutely gorgeous spring mornings that makes an outdoor wedding pretty hard to beat.

A Morning Wedding at Samuel Cedars

Most of our weddings take place later in the afternoon, so morning ceremonies are somewhat rare around here.

But every time we have one, we're reminded of just how beautiful the chapel is earlier in the day.

The morning light comes through the trees so beautifully, everything feels fresh and bright, and there's something especially peaceful about starting the day with a wedding ceremony.

Emma & Joseph had beautiful spring weather, making it the perfect morning to gather their closest people together outside.

Keeping Things Simple With a Ceremony-Only Wedding

Emma & Joseph also chose something we don't see quite as often: a ceremony-only wedding at Samuel Cedars.

Instead of hosting their entire wedding day in one place, they held their ceremony with us and then moved to another location for their reception.

For couples who already have a reception location in mind but still want a beautiful, dedicated space to exchange their vows, a ceremony-only rental can be a great option.

It also gave Emma & Joseph the opportunity to really make the morning about the ceremony itself before heading off to continue celebrating.

Blue & White for a Spring Wedding

You really can't go wrong with blue and white in the spring.

It's classic without feeling overly formal, and the colors looked especially pretty against all of the fresh greenery surrounding the chapel in May.

Sometimes the simplest color palettes work best when nature is already doing so much of the decorating for you.

Maybe Morning Weddings Deserve More Attention?

We're just going to put it out there...

More morning weddings, please.

They may not be the traditional choice, but there's a lot to love about them. The light is beautiful, the temperatures can be more comfortable during warmer months, and you still have the entire afternoon and evening ahead of you to celebrate however you'd like.

Emma & Joseph's wedding was such a sweet reminder that your wedding day doesn't have to follow the standard afternoon ceremony and evening reception schedule.

If a peaceful spring morning feels more like you, do that.

Congratulations, Emma & Joseph!
